This page introduces readers to a still-growing cast of people connected with the history of Northamptonshire. The 'great and the good' are over-represented (eleven items relate to members of the Isham family alone) but you can also find material that focuses on individuals who were farm workers, shoemakers and soldiers fallen on hard times.

Our Clergy page contains items about the relevant people who were priests or ministers of any denomination. There is also a page that provides links to obituaries published in Northamptonshire Past & Present.

Preston Capes Genealogy is a searchable database of all known residents of the village, dating from around 1150 until the end of the twentieth century; it contains details on around 6000 individuals.
