The Signposts section of this website now contains nearly 3,000 links to online resources about the history of Northamptonshire. Until recently, we provided links only to resources that are free of charge. However, that left out some very important collections, such as the images of local parish registers. Therefore, we are extending the range of material we cover.
Links are being added to a small number of extra relevant sources, even though they are on subscription websites such as FindMyPast and Ancestry. Each one of them is marked with the sign (£). Many libraries have their own subscriptions to such collections, in which case people can visit the "subscription" sites by going there and avoid paying.
We will continue to have no advertisements on this website from commercial organisations.
