Sharing across the World

We share the history of Northamptonshire with as many people as possible - whether they are keen or curious. This includes digitising books and manuscripts that we then place as PDFs online so you can enjoy them free of charge, wherever you are.

Our completed work includes the vast majority of our own published books and journals, as well as the outstanding volumes of Northamptonshire Notes & Queries and other works of particular importance.

Scanning is usually carried out for us by Internet Archive, a global library with vast experience of making hard-to-find books and unique records accessible. It already hosts over 25 million freely downloadable or viewable books and texts as well as vast collections of audio and video files. Why not visit Internet Archive Digitization to find out how this is done?

Internet Archive may be able to help other organisations you are connected with to share their material more widely.
