A major collection of pictures of local people extending back into the 19th century is now available online. Marjorie Clipstone (1915-1995) assembled a collection of family and other photographs that features over 40 different individuals whose names we know. Some pictures show the activities of Kingsthorpe Bowling Club.
It is likely that many readers connected with Rothwell, Naseby, Kingsthorpe, Northampton or Chapel Brampton will recognise in the album people they knew personally or who they have heard of. As well as Clipstone, among the surnames to be found are Bott, Burdett, Dartnell, Pinnock and Wadsworth.
An introduction and an index of the people in the pictures have been added to the original album.
